Moscow - The Russian Defense Ministry has called into question remarks of unnamed U.S. experts who claimed that Ukrainian air defense systems were not involved in the July 17 crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine.

“American experts have ruled out the Ukrainian army’s role [in the
Boeing crash] because the airplane was flying allegedly outside of the
range of the army’s missiles. My question is: are Americans ready to
testify that this is exactly how it happened? Do they know the location
of all missile systems in Ukraine? How can Americans comment on Russia’s
objective control data, or, maybe, they simply have nothing to say?”
Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov told the Rossiya-24
television station.
