UK Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Security Council Mark Lyall Grant has said that it is necessary to immediately commence investigation into the reasons of the Malaysian airliner catastrophe in the eastern part of Ukraine.
He called for “a full, thorough and independent international investigation, in accordance with international civil aviation guidelines, and for appropriate accountability.”
It stressed the need for “immediate access by investigators to the crash site to determine the cause of the incident” adding that the militants must ensure this access.
The ambassador said the International Civil Aviation Organization “clearly must be involved” into the investigation.
