HRABOVE, Ukraine—The prospects of a thorough investigation into the crash of Malaysia Airlines flight 17 fell into further doubt Saturday, as the Ukrainian government and rebels threw out barbs over the lack of any progress two days after the disaster.
Ukraine said separatist rebels were confiscating evidence gathered by a limited number of emergency services personnel at the scene, and a rebel leader accused multinational investigators of delaying the probe.
World leaders, including U.S. President Barack Obama, have called for a transparent, credible investigation into the crash that killed 298 people. But investigations have been hampered by limited access to the site in separatist-held territory amid heavy fighting in other parts of the east.
