You're reading: Cabinet submits law on lustration to Ukrainian presidential administration

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted the law on lustration of power to the Presidential Administration of Ukraine with a proposal to sign it.

The department of the information and public relations of the cabinet’s secretariat reported that Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk initialed the document.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on lustration at third attempt on September 16. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov signed the law on lustration on September 25.

As reported, on September 25 at a press conference in Kyiv Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that he has yet to see the final draft of the lustration law and told public representatives they have ten days to study the bill and make their proposals on what the head of state should do.
