The Central Election Commission (CEC) will do everything possible to ensure that the electoral process ends legally and that the official results are announced by November 10, CEC Chairman Mykhailo Okhendovsky has said.
“We are 99 percent confident that the results of parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be announced by Nov. 10 and that the terms set by the law will be met,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday, Nov. 8.
He said that an obstacle to this could be the decisions by two courts to recount votes at electoral districts Nos. 63 (Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region) and 38 (Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region).
