You're reading: Poroshenko Bloc to get 132 seats in parliament

According to preliminary figures, the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko will get the largest number of seats in the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation – 132 seats, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Mykhailo Okhendovsky has said.

He said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday, Nov. 8 that the People’s Front could get 82 seats, Samopomich Union – 33, the Opposition Bloc – 29, the Radical Party – 22, and Batkivschyna – 19.

Okhendovsky noted that 96 people would enter the Verkhovna Rada as independent MPs.

Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union will be represented in parliament by six deputies who won the elections at single-member districts.

Okhendovsky said that one candidate each from Strong Ukraine, Zastup and Right Sector had won the elections at single-member districts.
