Russia's Central Election Commission plans to release a report on the Ukrainian parliamentary elections, Central Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov said at an expanded meeting of the Federation Council's Federal Structure Committee.

“We monitored the Ukrainian polls in a remote mode and we plan to draw up a report on its outcome,” Churov said.

“Not everything went well” with the vote counting information system, he said.

“If the system had worked flawlessly, the results would have been summed up by 10 a.m. on Oct. 27, after 99 percent of the votes had been counted,” he added.

“This information system is under the control of the presidential administration, not Central Election Commission,” Churov said.
