Two out of the six heads of Ukrainian coalmining enterprises in the largest vertically integrated energy holding in Ukraine, DTEK, which is a part of businessman Rinat Akhmetov's SCM, have entered Verkhovna Rada as MPs for single-member constituencies.
According to data from the CEC, the director general of the largest coalmining enterprise of the country, PJSC DTEK Pavlogradugol, Artur Martovytsky, was elected to the parliament in district No. 36 in Dnipropetrovsk region, and Director General of DTEK Sverdlovanthracite Oleksandr Koval, in constituency No. 111 in Luhansk region.
The supervisory board of Pavlogradugol on November 26 decided to appoint the acting director general of the enterprise, Serhiy Voronin, to replace Martovytsky, the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market reported.
Recently Voronin worked as the technical director of Pavlogradugol. He will execute the duties of Pavlogradugol head until February 28, 2013.
DTEK also includes DTEK Rovenkianthracite, DTEK Mine Komsomolets Donbassa and DTEK Dobropolyeugol. ALC Mine Bilozerska, which until 2009 was a part of Dobropolyeugol, is also part of DTEK.
DTEK has 31 coalmines and 12 coal washing plants in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, and also in Rostov Oblast (Russia).
Moreover, Director General of PJSC Pokrovske Colliery Group Leonid Baisarov, Board Chairman of Zasyadko Coalmine Yukhym Zviahilsky, and Director General of Artemvuhillia state-run enterprise Anatoliy Hrachov also entered the Verkhovna Rada in constituencies No. 50, No. 45 and No. 41 in Donetsk region, as candidates from the Regions Party.
