KHANTY-MANSIYSK, Russia - Darya Domracheva of Belarus won her first overall women's biathlon World Cup title on March 22 in the final race of the season. Domracheva went into the race as standings leader and fourth place was enough to secure the title, while her main rival and reigning champion Kaisa Makarainen of Finland, could only manage 13th after some poor shooting.
