Dynamo Kyiv President Ihor Surkis and Dynamo coach Oleh Blokhin have agreed to continue cooperation until the end of the 2013/2014 season, reads a statement posted on the club's official Web site.
This was announced after the two met on Monday for more than two hours.
“Oleh Blokhin expressed confidence that he would manage to resolve
with the team all the tasks set for the season,” reads the statement.
In 2013, Dynamo Kyiv, under the management of Blokhin, crashed out of
the Europa League in the round of 32 and for the first time in its
history took third place in the Ukrainian Premier League, without
securing a place in the Champions League.
Dynamo is currently second in the Premier League and has won through
to the last 32 of the Europa League, where it will take on Spain’s
Valencia.
