Ukraine's tech industry is growing fast.

According to Founder and Managing Partner of AVentures Capital Andrey Kolodyuk, today there are more than 2,000 startups in Ukraine. "Of course, not all of them can be promising and successful. But a quantity like this shows Ukraine's potential is great, especially in the IT sector," Kolodyuk told technology blog Geektime on Nov. 1

“The situation is changing day by day, and every week there’s
a new success story,” he added.

This week’s success story concerns a Ukrainian-Polish real
estate promotion and technology company called Prof.Estate,
which has raised several million dollars in backing from UK investment company Forum Capital to develop on online platform
for the sale of real estate. The seed round of funding raised by the company is valued at $5 million.

According to the sources of the Ukrainian online tech
journal AIN.UA, the London-based investment
banking firm has invested close to $5 million Ukrainian-Polish startup.

The company says it plans to spend that money on developing
an online platform for selling real estate called Homsters.

Prof.Estate – which has its main office in Kyiv – provides
digital marketing for real estate developers and real estate sellers in seven
countries, including the UK, Kazakhstan, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine and the United
Arab Emirates. The company has offices in the capitals of all those countries, apart
from Singapore. It has a total staff of 40 people.

It was founded by Ukrainian Maria Ren (Zakharchenko), who’s
now responsible for business development, and Pole Andrzej Olejnik – currently the
chief executive officer.

Prof.Estate focuses on three main regions: the CIS, centered
in Kyiv, the Middle East and North Africa, centered in Dubai, and southern Asia.
During its first year of existence, Prof.Estate has participated in
transactions worth more than $500 million.
