Simferopol, September 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The number of children hospitalized with food poisoning from kindergartens in Dzhankoi, Crimea, has risen to 173, Viktor Brydko, the head doctor of the Crimean republic establishment "Health Center", told Interfax-Ukraine on Saturday.
He said that one hospitalized child is still in grave condition.
Children from eight of Dzhankoi’s nine kindergartens have been hospitalized. A total of nine kindergartens are in the town.
Most of the children were taken to hospital from the kindergarten No. 9 “Sonechko.”
Preliminary diagnosis is gastroenterocolitis. The causes of disease are under investigation.
