846 policemen are securing public order at a repeat local election on January 9, the press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
Territorial election commissions have decided to conduct repeat voting to elect deputies of local councils and heads of village and settlement councils in 26 regions (except for Kyiv) on Jan. 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The election is being held in 423 polling stations covering 403 inhabited localities.
