Even though there are billions of pages on the Web, few are aimed at Ukrainian ad industry professionals. To fill that gap, Miche Verney, creative consultant at Provid/BBDO, has launched his own Web site http://www.miche.com.ua.
'I have given it the positioning of a club for people who either think marketing [stinks] or is an essential part of today's lifestyle,' Verney said.
According to Verney, the site's target audience is broad, and includes marketing directors, students, creative people and others interested in the creative professions and the Internet.
In the future, Verney hopes to organize an online design competition for teams of designers, which he hopes will in turn foster a virtual creative community here in Ukraine.
'The online design competition is going to be 100 percent virtual,' Verney said. 'People will not know their other team members or be able to contact them in person because all correspondence will be through the site and will be monitored.'
