Canada's Trade Minister Stockwell Day will travel this week to Ukraine and India to promote Canadian exports, as well as to Kazakhstan where he is to discuss nuclear issues
His office said Monday, Day is to travel to Ukraine from September 22 to 23, stop in Kazakhstan on September 24 for one day, then head to India for two days of talks.
Canadian
exports to India increased 80 percent in 2008, over the previous year,
to 229.7 million dollars. This will be Day’s second visit this year to
India.
In Kazakhstan, Day will work to “further
nuclear cooperation between Canada and Kazakhstan and to strengthen
bilateral investment,” his office said.
