Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksionov has announced his readiness to combine his work at the post of prime minister with the duties of the republic's acting head, should his proposed appointment to this post be endorsed.

“I will combine [work at these posts] if the president entrusts me with these duties,” Aksionov said.

Crimean Parliament Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov said earlier that he
would ask Russian President Vladimir Putin to appoint Aksionov as the
republic’s acting head pending Crimea’s early parliamentary elections,
set for Sep. 2014.
