Chairman of Ukraine's Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), MP Volodymyr Ariev has initiated a meeting of the PACE Committee on Culture, Education, Science and Media concerning the protection of journalists in Ukraine in Kyiv in September.
“As chairman of the PACE Committee on Culture, Education, Science and Media, I was able to organize a meeting in Kyiv, which on my initiative will hold a hearing on the fight against corruption, information propaganda, the use of media in political issues, as well as on the protection of journalists,” the press service of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc quoted Ariev as saying on July 21.
In addition, the MP said that the greatest achievement of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE was the non-return of the right to vote in the Parliamentary Assembly to the Russian delegation.
