Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has ordered ministers to attend Farewell Bell school ceremonies in the regions.

"The school year is ending. We have to make a holiday for children. That’s why I ask members of the government to plan trips to the regions they are responsible for, [to attend] the Farewell Bell," the premier said opening a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Azarov also ordered the ministers to study the state of affairs in education in the regions and submit proposals to the government on how to solve the problems they find.

In particular, Azarov pointed out that schools must be repaired and all equipped with boiler-rooms. In addition, schools must be provided with textbooks, and educational establishments must have a full staff of teachers, the premier added.
