Kyiv, November 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine and Russia should return to the idea of a common economic space, Regions Party MP Mykola Azarov said at the third session of Ukrainian-Russian forum entitled: "The potential for Ukrainian-Russian partnership as factor of overcoming of financial crisis and providing a common European security system" in Kyiv on Friday.
“We, Ukraine, Russia should return to the idea of a common economic space. This is an opportunity for us to solve our problems…” he said.
Azarov in particular said, that since the government of former Premier Viktor Yanukovych, in which he [Azarov] was the first deputy premier and the finance ministry, left office, some 28 documents have been drawn up for signing on the functioning of the common economic space, and more than 100 draft documents detailing the procedures for the functioning of the common economic space.
