His Royal Highness, the Duke of York, has arrived in Kyiv for an official visit in his capacity as The UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.His Royal Highness was invited to visit Kyiv by the Ukrainian government.
The purpose of the visit is to further the development of UK/Ukraine bilateral and international trade, discuss the current economic and investment situation and to develop a better understanding of the government’s economic reform programme, according to Press and Public Affairs Section of British Embassy in Kyiv.
His Royal Highness said: I am delighted to be back in Ukraine as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. I was last here in 2008; it isencouragingto see that the latest economic indicators suggest that Ukraine is returning to economic growth. I look forward to discussing economic andtrade issues and theinvestment and business climatewith the President and senior members of the government, as well asBritish and international companies activein Ukraine.
