The overall revenues of the national budget for 2010 are projected at UAH 284.8 billion, while outlays at UAH 336.2 billion; the budget deficit is forecast at 3.97%, said acting Finance Minister Ihor Umansky at a special cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Saturday.

In his words, the revenues of the consolidated
budget for 2010, including crediting, are to grow by almost 17%. The
revenues of the national budget without transfers are to increase by
almost 21%, to UAH 278.5 billion. The revenues of the budget’s general
fund alone are expected at UAH 212.7 billion.

Receipts from individuals’ income tax is to grow by
12.5%, to UAH 50 billion. Profit tax receipts are to increase by 2%.
Revenues from excise duties, including under the laws passed by the
Verkhovna Rada and within the initiatives put forth by the government
in parliament, are projected at almost UAH 22 billion, which is almost
58% up on 2009. The consolidated budget’s excise duty receipts are
projected to grow by more than 20%.

The consolidated budget’s outlays, including those of the national budget and its deficit, are estimated at UAH 410.8 billion.

Umansky said that next year the government is to continue its programs for the additional capitalization of banks.
