Ukrainian Chief Military Prosecutor and Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoliy Matios has said that a sniper attempted to assassinate Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin on Nov. 2 evening, but he was saved thanks to bullet-proof glass.

“Near 10 p.m., Shokin and his colleagues, who were at a meeting and were sitting around a table in the prosecutor general’s office, were fired on by a sniper, three bullets were fired,” Matios said at a press conference at the prosecutor general’s office in Kyiv.

Matios said that bullet-proof glass protected those present at the meeting.
