The faction of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYuT) in Kyiv City Council has collected over 600,000 signatures from Kyiv residents in order to cancel a rise in tariffs for housing and municipal services in the city, council deputy Serhiy Melnyk said before the start of the council session on Thursday.
He said that the BYuT faction was planning to raise the question of
declaring a moratorium on raising housing and utility tariffs.
He also said that this issue could be raised at an extraordinary
session of Kyiv City Council if it receives no support on Thursday.
