You're reading: Cabinet appoints two deputy heads of Naftogaz

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Valentyn Franchuk first deputy chairman of Naftogaz Ukrainy, and Dmytro Mormul a deputy chairman of Naftogaz.

These decisions are stipulated in cabinet resolutions Nos. 252 and 253 of April 22, 2013, the texts of which were posted on the government’s Web site on Monday.

Volodymyr Trikolich, who had held the post of first deputy chairman of the board at Naftogaz since March 2010, by order No. 252 of April 22 was transferred to the post of deputy chairman of the holding’s board.

Franchuk had been working as deputy chairman of Naftogaz from February 2009 until May 2011. Prior to joining Naftogaz, he held the post of commercial director of PJSC Ukrnafta.

Mormul currently holds the post of deputy minister of environment and natural resources and chief of staff. A decision on his dismissal from the post of deputy environment minister has not yet been posted on the Web site of the president of Ukraine.

Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky also confirmerd that Naftogaz Board Chairman Yevhen Bakulin would retain his post.

“Bakulin is the board chairman,” Stavytsky told reporters in Kyiv.
