Kyiv, September 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) expects inflation in 2010 at 12% (December over December), and average annual inflation at 12.4%, Petro Poroshenko, the head of the NBU Council, said at a press conference on Thursday.
He said that Ukraine’s GDP growth next year is projected at 3%.
Speaking about the expected growth of industrial prices, Poroshenko said that forecasts hold it at 13.6% December over December and at 14.1% in average annual estimates.
The NBU Council head also said that the foreign trade surplus in 2010 was predicted at about $500 million: exports are projected at $73.134 billion and imports at $72.617 billion.
Industrial output is forecast at 1.7% in 2010, he said.
