Ukrainian parliamentarian Vadym Kolesnichenko (party of regions faction) says children have been raped in the international children's camp Artek.
“I was contacted by a mother of two children who were raped in
Artek. I immediately raised an alarm and we checked that information.
Unfortunately, it was confirmed. We are now doing everything to prevent
high-ranking officials from avoiding responsibility,” Kolesnichenko
said in a statement released by the press service of the Party of
Regions on Tuesday.
The parliamentarian contacted the law enforcement agencies, the
Prosecutor General’s Office, the human rights ombudsman, asking them to
prevent the closure of the criminal case, which has already been
opened, and not drag it out.
