Commissioner Hahn says EU hopes elections in Donbas will be held under Ukrainian law

EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn expects free and democratic local elections in Donbas will be based on Ukrainian legislation.

The EU counts on the fact that free, open and transparent elections on the basis of Ukrainian laws will be held in eastern Ukraine, he said at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on Sept. 11.
