Holosiyivsky District Court of Kyiv has extended the arrest of the Russian officers Alexander Alexandrov and Evgeny Yerofeyev to Jan. 2, 2016.

The court refused to satisfy an appeal lodged by the defendants who had requested house arrest, according to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent.

On Nov. 3, Yerofeyev’s lawyer Oksana Sokolovskaya said during a sitting of the Holosiyivsky court of Kyiv that her defense team had filed a motion to the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine for the defendants to be classified as prisoners of war and for the measure of restraint against them to be changed.
