General Prosecutor sees no grounds for that

There are no grounds for the opening of a criminal case and prosecution of organizers of a tender on the sale of Odesa Port-Side Plant, according to Ukrainian Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko.

“The tender and privatization failed, and I think that we have no grounds to open a criminal case,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on October 9.

As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko asked the Ukrainian Prosecutor General to present legal treatment of the actions of officials of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) at the tender and take measures in line with Ukrainian law.
