Yulia Marushevska, the Kyiv Ph.D. student who won over millions of people with her YouTube video "I am a Ukrainian" at a decisive moment during the EuroMaidan Revolution, is on a tour of Canada to help generate support for Ukraine's struggle against Russian aggression in Crimea.
Yulia Marushevska: “I am a Ukrainian” The video was made shortly after the first murders of EuroMaidan Revolution protesters in January. By Feb. 20, more than 100 people were killed, allegedly on orders of Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president who fled Kyiv on Feb. 21 and went into exile in Russia where he is a fugitive on mass murder charges.
