Ukrainian Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn told Interfax-Ukraine this on Tuesday, when asked about the plans for the meeting of the premiers of the two countries.

“There will be exchange of thoughts [between the premiers] on prospects for cooperation between our two countries in the scope of the economic councils of heads of the CIS governments. This will be another meeting held between the premiers roughly once a quarter, and we hope that new contacts of effective cooperation in this or that sphere will be established,” Danylyshyn said.

In particular, according to him, premiers plan to discuss the cooperation in the engineering sector and the innovation sphere.

At the same time Danylyshyn said that Ukraine wants to implement innovative programs within the CIS.

“You know that currently a special program on the innovative development of the CIS countries until 2020 is being formed.
