The draft campaign for fixed period service in the Ukrainian army in autumn 2009 is still being conducted in Ukraine. A total of 4,567 men were drafted for fixed period service in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in autumn 2009, and, depending on their education they will serve military obligations for a year or nine months.
Some150 of the men will study in educational centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine where they will receive the qualification of junior specialist, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
“Another 677 men, including specialists of the radio technical and anti-aircraft missile troops and signals corps will study in the educational centers of the Air Forces,” said Colonel Bohdan Vizniak, the head of the personnel department of the Air Force.
