You're reading: Deposit Guarantee Fund extends temporary administration at Delta Bank

The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund has extended temporary administration at Delta Bank (Kyiv) for another month - until Oct. 2.

According to the fund’s website, the decision was made by its executive directorate on Aug. 3.

The fund said that at present funds are paid through the offices of four banks to the depositors under the contracts that expired on April 30 this year, both on current and card accounts.

The fund noted that the depositors of Delta Bank had been paid Hr 7.2 billion, or 55 percent of the total guaranteed amount of compensation by the end of July.

Delta Bank was founded in 2006. Its largest shareholders in early 2015 were Mykola Lahun (70.6059 percent) and Cargill Financial Services International, Inc. (29.3941 percent).

Delta Bank ranked fourth among 158 operating banks on Jan. 1, 2015 by total assets (Hr 60.303 billion), according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
