Eco-Energy has started the production of alternative motor fuel oxygenate from the juice of sweet sorghum grown in Sumy region, the press service of the regional administration has said.

According to its data, the production line is running at the rented Budylka experimental factory (the village of Budylka, Lebedyn district, Sumy region).

“The region has sown this crop on about 130 hectares, the expected yield is 600-800 centners per hectare. Some 300-400 liters of juice with a sugar content of 11-12 percent can be obtained per tonne of sorghum,” said the state administration.

As reported, state-run Budylka experimental factory, producing ethyl spirit, carbon dioxide for the food industry, in 2001 stopped working and was reorganized as the eponymous limited liability company. The production of alternative motor fuel oxygenate was launched in 2011.

Eco-Energy on an equal footing belongs to Oleksiy Diatlenko and Oleksandr Maslak.
