The Economy Ministry of Ukraine estimates that retail prices for petrol will rise by 7-21% in the third quarter, compared to July-September, and this figure is to be used when motor carriers calculate the minimal tariff for cargo transportation in October-December, 2009.
According to the Economy Ministry’s decree, which was published on its Web site, the cost of cargo transportation in the third quarter will be estimated using a price for diesel fuel set at UAH 5.64/liter, А-76 petrol at UAH 6.21/liter, А-80 at UAH 6.23 /liter, А-92 at UAH 6.63 /liter, А-95 at UAH 6.96 /liter, and А-98 at UAH 7.72 /liter.
The prices of А-76 and А-95 petrol were increased by 21.3% and by 20.8% respectively, while the price for diesel was cut (by 7%).
The document comes into force on October 1, 2009.
