Leading Ukrainian political experts have forecast that the main ministerial appointments in the Cabinet of Ministers will be made after the presidential elections in Ukraine on January 17, 2010, director of the Penta Center of Political Studies, Volodymyr Fesenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

“It is practically impossible to gather any majority in the Our
Ukraine-People’s Self Defense faction as they don’t have even a quorum.
They can’t even gather together to vote. And I think that internal
opposition will remain in the coalition de jure and de facto. And some
principal coalition and staff changes in the government can take place
only after the presidential elections.

At the same time, Oleksandr Paliy, an expert from the Institute of
Foreign Policy of the Ukrainian Diplomatic Academy, said that the issue
of ministerial appointments in the government is caused by ” a desire
to make new people responsible for the state of economy in the country.”
