The Ministry for Affairs of Family, Youth Policy, and Sport has decided to prolong the rest of children from nine regions, in which quarantine has been declared for the A(H1N1) epidemics, in the Artek international children's center in Crimea and the Moloda Hvardia children center in Odesa.

Minister for Affairs of Family, Youth Policy, and Sport Yurii Pavlenko announced this to the press.

He said the current shift in Artek will end on November 8, and in Moloda Hvardia on November 12.

There are nearly 300 children from the nine regions in the children’s centers.

According to the ministry, the prolongation of the stay of the children by three weeks will cost additional UAH 0.5 million from the national budget.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Health Ministry on October 30 declared the A(H1N1) flu epidemic throughout Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced quarantine in nine regions, banned organization of mass events, and closed educational institutions for three weeks because of the epidemic influenza.
