Four activists of the Ukrainian movement FEMEN have been deported from Turkey for conducting a protest near Hagia Sophia in Istanbul on the International Women's Day, Channel 5 reported on Friday.
On Thursday, the FEMEN activists arrived in Istanbul at the invitation of a Turkish lingerie company. After a press conference, the topless activists went to the square in front of Hagia Sophia, chanting slogans condemning violence against women. The women were detained and taken to a police station.
Another FEMEN activist was deported from Russia on March 9 for hooliganism at a polling station in the Russian Academy of Sciences
