The Fifth TV Channel has fixed the prices for the presidential election propaganda.
This is disclosed in the data provided by the NBM TV and Radio Company and Express Inform TV and Radio Company published in the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper.
The price of a second of political ads from 6:00 am through 7:00 am is UAH 44.54, from 7:00 am through 10:00 am – UAH 83.49, from 10:00 am through 2:00 pm – UAH 44.54, from 2:00 am through 5:00 pm – 83.49, from 5:00 pm through 11:00 pm – UAH 139.16, and from 11:00 am through 6:00 am – UAH 44.54.
The prices include taxes.
The Fifth TV Channel is created on the basis of the NBM TV and Radio Company and Express Inform TV and Radio Company.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on October 2, the Central Election Commission endorsed the provision on the average weighted cost per unit of printed space and air time in the mass media for the period of the presidential election campaign.
The electronic mass media must send to the CEC by October 18 their per-unit airtime tariffs, and publish them in the Holos Ukrainy and Uriadovyi Kurier newspapers.
The presidential elections are scheduled for January 17, 2010.
