In a June 29 report out of Brussels, the FOCUS News Agency reported: The European Union and the global financial institutions are meeting in Brussels today to discuss a gas loan for Ukraine. Thus, Ukraine could refund its gas debt to Gazprom and prevent the rest of Europe from suffering a re-run of the gas crisis.
The parties round the table will be the EU, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Gazprom and Ukraine’s Naftogas.
