The body of the senior mechanic from the Mongolian-flagged Black Rose, a citizen of Ukraine who drowned on September 9 near the Indian port of Paradip, arrived in Ukraine on Lufthansa flight LH 3236 on September 27, the Foreign Ministry has reported.
The ministry reported the repatriation of the body on Monday, referring to a report by the Ukrainian embassy in India.
At Boryspil airport the body was given over to the relatives of the sailor.
As reported, the Black Rose, a ship with seven Ukrainian sailors on board, sank near the Indian port of Paradip on September 9. Indian rescue teams saved six Ukrainians immediately after the accident. The body of the senior mechanic was found on September 18.
