Ukrainian crewmembers of the MSC Nikita container ship, which recently collided with another ship off the coast of the Netherlands, have returned to Ukraine, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said.
“The whole crew left by air on August 31 and they are already in
Ukraine,” the ministry’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine on
Wednesday.
As reported, the MSC Nikita and the Nirint Pride collided 41 miles
off the Hook of Holland seaport on August 30. None of the twenty-five
Ukrainians that were on board the MSC Nikita were injured in the
collision. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
