The Ministry of Internal Affairs has put Ihor Zvarych, the former head of the Lviv Administrative Court of Appeal, on the international wanted list, Internal Affairs Minister Yurii Lutsenko said in an interview with the Lviv newspaper Vysokyi Zamok.

“The police has put Ihor Zvarych on the international wanted list. He’s been declared on an Interpol red notice in all world’s countries,” Lutsenko said adding that according to operating data, Zvarych is currently in Ukraine.

The minister is sure of Zvarych being alive and healthy.

The fact Ihor Zvarych escaped from the hospital testifies he has powerful patrons among top officials, the minister said.

“Here, in Ukraine, the operation “clean hands” is traditionally switching to the operation “fast feet”. It is no a secret who were Zvarych’s home-folks, who he studied with in the institution of higher education, and who promoted him in his office. We have records with this surname and Zvarych himself has repeatedly name that person speaking about bribes to be shared with in Kyiv,” Lutsenko said.

Lutsenko hopes the case will be settled in the court.

As Ukrainian News reported, the General Prosecutor’s office intends to clarify the reasons for escaping Zvarych from Lviv’s hospital.

The Verkhovna Rada authorized to arrest Ihor Zvarych.

The Prosecutor General’s Office brought a criminal case against Ihor Zvarych of accepting a USD 100,000 bribe for illegal court ruling.
