Oleksandr Savchenko, a former deputy chairman at the National Bank of Ukraine, has been appointed a deputy finance minister, a source in the Cabinet told Interfax.
Savchenko resigned from the NBU last week as he protested
interference in the National Bank’s activities and the inefficient
policies of NBU officials.
He had worked at the NBU since 2005.
