Military-technical cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine continues, saidGeorgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European & Euro-Atlantic Integration Giorgi Baramidze.

Baramidze spoke to Zerkalo Nedeli, Ukrainian weekly newspaper.

"Yes, it is continuing. I can not go into details, but we have no problems," Baramidze said when asked about military cooparetion with Ukraine.
According to him, Ukraine does not share Russia’s position that delivery of any type of weapons is exacerbating the situation in the South Caucasus region.

"Virtually the entire international community does not share the position of Moscow. Thank God that Ukraine is on the side of the rest of the world," said the deputy prime minister of Georgia.

Baramidze also described the trade and economic relations between the two countries as dynamically developing and said that Ukraine was an alternative to Russia for Georgia in this area.

Russia repeatedly criticized Ukraine in 2008-2009 for arms supplies to Georgia.

Georgia has said that it is hoping for participation of Ukrainian companies in development of infrastructure in the country in 2012.
