Germany allocated 2 million eurp to Ukraine for training personnel who will be involved in the holding of the European Football Championship 2012, Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany Natalia Zarudnaya has told journalists.

In her words, in 2009 Ukrainian and Germany signed an agreement on cooperation in training of specialists, and now money is provided for these projects.

The ambassador says the Ukrainian side will choose areas in which it has the need to train staff for the Championship, she notes these will be people who will be working directly with the arriving fans, football teams and tourists.

Zarudnaya believes that Germany’s experience in arranging mass sport events will be interesting and useful to Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Germany favours strengthening cooperation with Ukraine in the preparations for hosting EURO 2012.

In January, Germany handed over police outfit worth EUR 200,000 within the framework of preparations for EURO 2012.
