Global Gathering Freedom Festival attracted as many as 20,000 music fans to Chayka Airfield on July 11.
Internationally known Global Gathering Freedom Festival took place at Kyiv’s Chayka Airfield on July 11. As many as 20,000 of the city’s most energetic clubbers gathered to party to the music played by some of the world’s most famous deejays [1]. The program promised as many as 35 deejays, a camping site, food courts and sideshows for the willing. The hottest moment of the festival came with the performance of the Global Gathering’s main headliners, Basement Jaxx [5, 9]. The British duo put on an amazing show, featuring a band of musicians, vocalists and charismatic dancers. Among other highlights of the festival were sets by Brit James Algate [4], Ukrainian girl deejay Anna Lee [8] and famous Frenchman David Guetta [7], whose latest hits “Love is Gone” and “Baby When the Light” got the crowd roaring. The go-go dancers inspired the crowd to imitate their moves [3, 6]. Apart from the main program, Global Gathering guests enjoyed other entertainments offered on the territory of the festival. They went crazy in the pool filled with foam [2] and rocked by the jam electric stage [10]
