The government of Ukraine has appointed Liudmyla Suprun, the leader of the People's Democratic Party, head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations, Minister of the Cabinet of Minsters Petro Krupko told journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.

As reported, in mid August the government appointed Serhiy Vlasenko acting head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations.

Earlier, the cabinet dismissed Viktor Ivchenko from the post at his own request.

The agency’s core tasks are to participate in the formation and implementation of a state investment and innovation policy, and the coordination of the work of central executive agencies in that sphere.
