You're reading: Government sets wage of president at Hr 28,000, premier at Hr 20,000 from May 1

The Cabinet of Ministers has set the wage of the president at Hr 28,000 ($1,129 at the NBU currency exchange rate as of Aug. 1) and that of the prime minister at Hr 20,000 ($806) from May.

This is stipulated in government resolution No. 493 of July 27.

According to the document, the Cabinet also set the wage of the first deputy premier at Hr 18,000, the deputy prime minister at Hr 17,000, the minister at Hr 16,000, the first deputy minister at Hr 15,000, and the deputy minister at Hr 14,000.

The wages are set from May 1.

In addition, the Cabinet invalidated resolution No. 518 of June 30, 2005 on the wage of president of Ukraine, according to which the president’s wage amounts to 140 percent of the premier’s wage.
