You're reading: Government to allocate Hr 618 million to finance space industry in 2010

According to the draft state budget for 2010, the financing of the space industry is estimated at UAH 618 million.

The state financing of the industry is projected at UAH 214.24 million from the general fund, UAH 3.85 million from the special fund, and UAH 400 million from the stabilization fund.

The funds for the space industry are to be allocated from the stabilization fund: UAH 200 million for financing the national space program, UAH 115 million for financing the state program on the disposal of solid rocket fuel from intercontinental ballistic missiles at the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant (Dnipropetrovsk region), UAH 64.5 million for the state program on the reconstruction of the Yuzhmash Production Association and the Yuzhne Design Bureau, and UAH 20.5 million on the disposal of ammunition unfit for further use.

The total of UAH 0.6 million from the general fund is foreseen for financing applied scientific and scientific and technical projects, as well as work on state programs and government orders in the space industry.
